When Sony Xperia 1 VI launched, it shipped with Android 14, but has since been updated to Android 15 (27 Nov 2024). This phone was originally released on 5 / 2024.

Expected: Android 16 and Android 17
Sony has promised to deliver these major Android versions for Sony Xperia 1 VI: Android 16 and Android 17.
However, this is only the manufacturer's promise, as far as we know - Sony might release even further updates to the phone later or might end support earlier on.
